Section 01

Overview

Tantainment Limited (RC 455252) respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your personal data held by Tantainment in connection with:

  • The Tantainment corporate website at tantainment.com
  • The CHANCES by Tantainment gaming platform (mobile application, web portal at chances.show, and the live studio experience)
  • Any data obtained through your use of third-party login or authentication services (including Facebook Login, Instagram, and other Meta Platform integrations)

These instructions are provided in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 ("NDPA"), Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies, and all applicable data protection regulations.

Section 02

Your Right to Deletion

Under the NDPA, you have the right to request the erasure of your personal data where:

  • The data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected
  • You withdraw your consent and no other lawful basis for processing applies
  • You object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds
  • The data has been unlawfully processed
  • The data must be erased to comply with a legal obligation

Please note: The right to deletion is subject to certain exceptions. Tantainment may retain personal data where retention is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or to perform a task carried out in the public interest.

Section 03

Deletion of Data Obtained Through Meta (Facebook / Instagram)

If you logged into any Tantainment service using Facebook Login or otherwise authorised Tantainment to access your data through Meta's platform, you may request deletion of all data that Tantainment obtained from Meta about you.

How to Request Deletion of Meta-Sourced Data

Option A

Contact Tantainment Directly

Send an email to support@tantainment.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request — Meta / Facebook". Include the following:

  • Your full name
  • The email address associated with your Tantainment and/or CHANCES account
  • The Facebook or Instagram account name or User ID used to log in
  • A statement that you are requesting deletion of all data obtained by Tantainment through Meta's platform

Option B

Remove Tantainment from Your Facebook Account

You can revoke Tantainment's access and request deletion directly through Facebook:

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings
  2. Select "Settings and Privacy" then "Settings"
  3. Select "Apps and Websites" from the left menu
  4. Find "Tantainment" or "CHANCES by Tantainment" in the list of active apps
  5. Click "Remove" and select the option to delete all data that the app may have received about you

When you remove the app through Facebook, Meta will notify Tantainment of your deletion request. Tantainment will process the deletion within the timeframe set out in Section 6.

Option C

Remove Tantainment from Your Instagram Account

If you authorised Tantainment through Instagram:

  1. Go to your Instagram Settings
  2. Select "Apps and Websites"
  3. Find "Tantainment" or "CHANCES by Tantainment" in the list
  4. Select "Remove" to revoke access and request deletion

What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon receiving a valid deletion request for Meta-sourced data, Tantainment will delete:

  • Your Facebook or Instagram User ID as stored in our systems
  • Your name, email address, and profile information obtained through Facebook Login or Instagram authorisation
  • Any access tokens or authentication credentials associated with your Meta account
  • Any other data received from Meta's APIs in connection with your account

Note: Deletion of Meta-sourced data does not automatically delete your entire CHANCES account or Wallet data. If you also wish to delete your CHANCES account and all associated data, please follow the instructions in Section 4 below.

Deletion of CHANCES Account and Platform Data

How to Request Account Deletion

Method 1

In-App Account Deletion

Navigate to Settings > Account > Delete Account within the CHANCES mobile application or web portal and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm deletion. This feature will be available from Platform launch.

Method 2

Email Request

Send an email to support@tantainment.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request — CHANCES". Include your full name, the email address or phone number associated with your CHANCES account, and a statement that you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated data.

Method 3

Support Request

Contact support@tantainment.com and request account deletion. Our support team will verify your identity and process the request.

What Data Will Be Deleted

  • Your account registration and identity verification data
  • Your gameplay session logs and interaction history
  • Your communications and support records
  • Your marketing consent records and preferences
  • Any data obtained through third-party login providers (Meta, X, TikTok, LinkedIn)
  • Your Wallet transaction history (subject to legal retention obligations — see below)

Data We May Be Required to Retain

Certain categories of data may be retained after account deletion where Tantainment is required by law to do so. This is not optional — it is a legal obligation.

Retained data is stored securely, access-restricted, and used only for the specific legal purpose for which it is retained. It is not used for marketing, analytics, or any other purpose. Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, retained data is securely and irreversibly deleted.

Section 05

Deletion of tantainment.com Website Data

If you have submitted personal data through the Tantainment corporate website (for example, through a contact form, newsletter subscription, or job application) and wish to request its deletion, send an email to support@tantainment.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request — Website".

Include your name, the email address used in your submission, and the nature of the data you wish deleted.

Processing Timeframe

Business Days — Acknowledgement
Tantainment will acknowledge your deletion request within 5 business days of receipt.
30
Calendar Days — Completion
Tantainment will process and complete the deletion within 30 calendar days of receiving a valid, verified request.

Extension (if required)
Where a request is complex or requires additional verification, Tantainment may extend this period by a further 30 days, with notice to you.

You will receive written confirmation by email once the deletion has been completed, specifying what data has been deleted and, where applicable, what data has been retained and the legal basis for retention.

Section 07

Identity Verification

To protect your privacy, Tantainment may require you to verify your identity before processing a deletion request. Verification may include confirming ownership of the email address or phone number associated with the account, or providing a government-issued identification document.

Tantainment will not process a deletion request that cannot be reasonably verified.

Section 08

Consequences of Deletion

  • Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to access the Platform, and all non-retained data will be permanently erased.
  • Wallet balances lapse. Any Wallet balance that is not eligible for redemption under published game rules at the time of deletion will lapse. No interest or compensation accrues on forfeited Wallet balances.
  • New accounts. You may create a new account after deletion, but your previous account data, gameplay history, and Wallet balance cannot be restored.

Complaints

If you believe that Tantainment has not complied with your deletion request, you may:

  • Contact our Data Protection Officer at support@tantainment.com
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC)
